"THAT TIME OF YEAR..... & ARMED FORCES DAY... & MUCH MORE"

May 16, 2015

Rain came a pouring down today, which made it a good day to clean (or was it putz) around the studio...    so much to do this time of the year (catch the first set with these days, call it a loan, take it easy and the pretender) and lots to think about, with armed forces day upon us (so it goes second set: soldiers, lovers & dreamers.... etc., etc. and on fading into the other lator sets to include great tunes like thanks alot, everybody wants to feel like you, angel flight, not that simple, and long may you run.... etc., etc..)

Anyways, it was time to get back on track...  get that vintage kenwood turntable spinnin' again......  and my first by chance pick outta the old vinyl storage center was mr. mickey newberry's, "i came to hear the music" LP....   what a score, and fat chance as luck would have it.....   but next pick of the litter was mr. john sebastian (also by an even phatter chance, since there is no rhyme reason or dewey point system to my LP filing or life in general for that matter) who started to get me a thinkin' bout old friends and tie dye times .....

Then the rain drifted away, life moved back on track, and i did manage to get a little cleaning done, even if it was all in my head....   So really "shine on" friends and enjoy the music..  and i will while away this precious time and continue to commence to drain and clean up the swamp ..    lator-gators!

public radio supporters & pledgers to kunr - thankx!

When i started in 1989 as a volunteer host for Folk, Bluegrass and Beyond, I really had no idea what a difference you all make....

Your support for KUNR & KNCC and the music that we bring is so important and extemely remarkable.....

It's as if we are one big family that can make an outstanding contribution to the community at large, and as so many of you surely have done it with your pledges of support when you can.

It is, and always will be,  most greatly appreciated.
