There's a little bit of irish playing today!

From the rattlin' bog somewhere along the road with the irish spring to the the irish washerwoman, we roam oh ireland....    us fiddler's green and jolly beggarman combine to take her in your arms from dublin with love....   it's the farthest wave in what makes the irish heart beat when we walk in the irish rain along the western highway and ireland's green shore....

So i go today with the prep for saint patty's  day and get ready for my evening rabble at the dudes celebration at the big lebowski fest....    wishing you all well, warm days ahead and grand bowling in your future...     lator-gators....

whats a poor boy to do..

whats a poor boy to do..

In "terms of my surrender"

From the beginning of "nobody knew his name" and "walk like a man" to the "hypothetical, glamorous, downtown, corner, galway girl" and ending with "dear someone" this week forage into the musical skycamp of this vaga-von songster tramp takes a nod to the songsmiths and thier varied dealings with life in general.    That's how is been for me this week, along with a startling discovery of my good friend, greg lawson, taking it upon himself to plunder into the pages of facebook euphoria....    what a challenge and delight for him all at once.... while this voyeur elludes a de-stink-tive approach to the chatter and prolific struggle with the incomprehensible seclusion of expressive privacy related to advocations of electronic life in general....   kinda like that line from country comforts.....  he's a horse-drawn man until his dyin' days....       most sincerely folks..

In a coverage kinda mood....

Yeah its the first full covers show of the year focusing on the works of the "boss man"....  we will be on fire with no surrender, whether we wreck on the highway or spin out glory days from alantic city to lucky town.   Goin' down to my father's house while dancing in the dark with a hungry heart for Jericho and used cars...   We be in a brilliant disquise and open all night for that downtown train born in the usa as all that heaven will allow.   though we have reason to believe tougher than the rest we still ain't got you one step up rom the state trooper fire on fourth of july in asbury park.....     hope you enjoy the show and/or drop me a line sometime....  lator-gators - jim

Nuttin' but valentine's baby....

It started out kinda  ok but all went astray due to the station players that could not keep up with the MP3 pressings.....  now i know better....  anyways it was to be valentine's Day from Jimmy Lafave to Love Minus Zero and anything that mentions valentines....    be it in the song, the title or just some explicative in passing.    A chance to let the heartfelt remembrance to be shared and enjoyed..   really it should be a national or for that matter global holiday, swaying slightly like a Christmas chorus of caring, compassion and love, which is all to often so hard to focus on in this crazy world of ours......     peace & lator gators - jim

Gulf Coastin' & assorted melodies....

A week of coastal thoughts in my head transpire to have me search out the tidal areas...  whether they be a long lost coast or gator infested flood plains..... it's all the same warm breezes to the heart.....   So with my meanderings of mind and matter, i move on....  in radio, as in life, it happens, so off i go, exploring again....  forever young with all the best, shouting out to lonely town while looking back to see some enchanted evening enhanced by trouble in mind and a loser's hand.  All the while remembering that "cowboys still act like cowboys" in an american drive by.....

Rails, subways & such...

testin out the blog off of my phone for remote entry...  as paul simon said.. we live in an age of miracles..   well i woodnt call this one a miracle, but todays shows more than worthwhile with some new dylan and mcmurtry and a beginning thread of a theme to boot..  now if i can just get the phone to type right...  now that be progress...   lator-gators
