"Just thinkin' bout all kinds of smarts" for the Juke Joint today on KUNR.org

January 21, 2017

Headin' down that long lonesome road....    as the song goes....

With a mix of songs today from the Bright Side Of The Road followed by Ignorance Is The Enemy from 2005 Rodney Crowell to Freedom from Supply And Demand by Amos Lee, the show begins today with portraits of con-tem-plations of illustrative meanings within the songwriters descriptive musical vocabulary....   I did want to include in this objective/subjective pattering a bit of Mark Graham's great song with the lyric, "the dinosaurs died because they were dumb"  but somehow didn't find it in the vault....  (he is the same fellow who penned, "i see your aura and it's ugly" but we just couldn't go there this week....   ah, only the future will tell, so meanwhile i plug away at an assortment of song to chill out in this already cold winter... but, such is life, so see ya when i see ya....   lator-gators - jim@jimbosjukejoint.com

public radio supporters & pledgers to kunr - thankx!

When i started in 1989 as a volunteer host for Folk, Bluegrass and Beyond, I really had no idea what a difference you all make....

Your support for KUNR & KNCC and the music that we bring is so important and extemely remarkable.....

It's as if we are one big family that can make an outstanding contribution to the community at large, and as so many of you surely have done it with your pledges of support when you can.

It is, and always will be,  most greatly appreciated.
