Trees, Wood & Carpenters

May 30, 2015

From the thoughts of cutting rough slab maple for guitars with my brother phil in new brunswick, to the tall pines of the sierra that fill my mind on the return from last weeks romp at the strawberry music fest, I delve into trees on the hill, woodshops and carpenter haunts on the show this saturday...     Its kinda a gum tree canoe day with dawgwood a blooming while strange on the range woodworking and thinkin' that if i were a carpenter like grandpa was i might be able to do the redwood waltz..   so with choppin' wood and listening to van the man morrison, i will be thinking of that maple tree, the ghost tree, and the maplewood.  And i will go back to climbing trees and norwegian wood...   If that doesn't suffice for the playlist, then i will remain up a tree my little carpenter...    And, thankx to the tall trees and kates wolfs reminder of the "sweet smell of pines"...      you all be well and enjoy...     lator - jim

public radio supporters & pledgers to kunr - thankx!

When i started in 1989 as a volunteer host for Folk, Bluegrass and Beyond, I really had no idea what a difference you all make....

Your support for KUNR & KNCC and the music that we bring is so important and extemely remarkable.....

It's as if we are one big family that can make an outstanding contribution to the community at large, and as so many of you surely have done it with your pledges of support when you can.

It is, and always will be,  most greatly appreciated.
